ARCHER’S BAUKKNIGHT -MCNEILL HISTORICAL HOUSE 04/18/2019

The Archer Historical Society is pleased to announce a presentation by one of our members, Christie Parker-Wheeler, on April 18th Thursday 7 p.m.. This talk by Ms. Wheeler will feature the historical home of C.W. Bauknight, a successful merchant and farmer in the 1880s. The Bauknight-McNeill House is considered by many as the most elaborate of Archer’s historic homes. Portions of this home date as far back as 1850. She will give you a visual tour and tell you about her and her family’s experiences living in the home.

Christie Parker-Wheeler was born in San Francisco and raised in the beautiful Napa Valley, California. After graduating from high school she enlisted in the Air Force, with assignments to include the National Security Agency, the United States Air Force Academy, the Pentagon, Japan and a deployment to the middle east. Upon her retirement from the Air Force, Christie and her family relocated to Archer, Florida, where they fell in love with a beautiful historic home that they have made theirs. In addition to working on her home, Christie enjoys caring for her four sons and with her husband owns an Archer-based real estate brokerage.
