The Railroad Museum

The News Is….. The Museum office is on it’s way to a makeover!!

The AHS is continuing it’s mission to preserve, protect and restore Archer’s historic Depot! Over the past few months, with much dedicated and hard work from our members, the Depot Office was cleared ( a lot of heavy lifting, and careful relocation of our artifacts), the dropped ceiling removed, office carefully wiped down, and prepped for a new coat of paint!

Thanks to the generous donation from Mary Bennett for contracting a painter (great job Karen), our spruce up has started. We now look to safety, and preservation. Our next tasks will be fixing some floor sections, repairing some window panes, working on some proper and safe lighting, and repairing some display cases for our artifacts.

Take a glance at the wonderful work that was done! Thanks to all who put the time in to help!!

If you would like to contribute to our continuing efforts at the Depot, we could always use some helping hands as we move forward with our preservation efforts, or click on our ‘Donate’ tab on our main menu, or click here.
