Archer: Florida Quakertown March 21St. Thursday 7 p.m. Bill Zettler will present a talk about Archer’s and Florida’s unique Quaker settlement during the 1880’s. W. B. Lipsey of Indiana founded the Quaker Orange Company and invited many other Quakers from the Midwest to join him in this citrus-growing paradise. People of the Quaker faith began coming to Archer in substantial numbers. Among them were members of the Pearson and Neal families, whose accomplishments would have international implications.
